Tullow CS girls continue winning streak in soccer league as Mannion makes it 15 in three games.

Tullow CS 12

Portlaoise College 2

The Tullow girls made it three wins from three in region 3 of the FAIS girls u15 Leinster league. Having defeated Athy last week on the exact same score line Tullow made it two away wins in a row to put them in pole position in the group. There are seven schools in the group who all play each other and whoever finishes top advances to the Leinster quarter finals of the division one while the runners up take part in division two and third place will compete for the division 3 title. This win guarantees the girls a top three finish but another couple of wins will set up a grand finale. This was a brilliant team performance with all the girls playing brilliant with goal scoring machine Leah Mannion adding seven goals to her already amazing tally. She scored a hat trick inside 10 minutes with her powerful running making it tough to stop her. Her midfield partner Emily Lawlor scored four goals to add to the 6 she got last week as these two have built a great midfield partnership and have defences running scared with 27 goals between the two of them in three games. Captain Molly Maher got her name on the score sheet from the penalty spot before Mannion scored four second half goals to take her tally for the season to 15 from just three games. The girls will now play Scoil Ri Portlaoise away next week as they look to continue their great run.
